Using the same email password everywhere doesn’t seem like a big deal at first. It’s a secret that is only in your head. Perhaps you have made up a really long password and you don’t write it down. You rationalize that there is no way that your email login account could be leaked. So you reuse it: for your email, bank, Amazon, and that new food delivery service.

There are two easy ways to fix this. The first is to use a password manager, such as 1Password by Agile Bits. The second is to turn on Multi Factor Authentication (aka 2FA). Most secure web sites will let you get a text message or use an app that has numbers that change every 30 seconds.
